business
came
to
a

he

his
family
were
subjected
to
unimaginable
horrors.
The
family
was
eventually
separated
and
sent
to
different
concentration
camps. Levi
was
sent
to
Auschwitz,
where
he
endured
the
most
brutal
conditions.
He
was
forced
to
work
long
hours,
surviving
on
meagre
rations
of
food
and
water.
Despite
the
constant
danger,
Levi
refused
to
lose
hope.
He
clung
onto
the
memories
of
his
family
and
the
warmth
of
his
home
and
used
these
as
a
source
of
strength
and
